Asian Beef Skewers
Ginger garlic flavored beef skewers are an awesome appetizer as well as an entree
Asian beef skewers
Ingredients
- 1 Lb Cubed steak use your favourite cut I am using ribeye and strip loin.
- 6 skewers
Asian marinade
- 1/2 Cup soy sauce
- 1/4 Cup rice vinegar
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp garlic paste, ginger paste, cilantro paste & gochujang or any hot sauce you have
- 1 red onion diced
Asian rub
- 1/2 Tbsp garlic powder , pepper, paprika, five Chinese spice
- 1/4 Tbsp onion powder
Instructions
- Cube your favorite cut of beef I am using a combination of ribeye and striploin steak.
- In a bowl mix your Asian marinade (1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/4 rice veniger, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1 tbsp of each garlic paste, ginger paste, cilantro paste & gochujang or any hot sauce you have 1 red onion diced)
- Add your cubed beef and then season with Asian rub (I used 1/2 tbsp of each garlic powder, pepper, paprika, five Chinese spice & 1/4 tbsp onion powder) cover & let marinate in fridge for 1 hour to overnight to maximize flavour.
- set your smoker at 275 degrees or your grill to direct cooking. Direct grilling keep an eye on it and rotate every 1-3 minutes so meat doesn’t burn and dry out
- Remove from fridge skewer and place in smoker or grill until desired doneness about 30 minutes for medium well or less time if you are grilling direct over heat
- Remove from smoker or grill and garnish with diced green onions, sesame seeds & enjoy
