Rinse the whole chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.
Place the chicken in a large resealable plastic bag or a deep dish.
Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it's evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight, to let the flavors infuse.
