Smoked Lobster Tail with Garlic Butter Bath Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Lobster Tail:

– 8 lobster tails, thawed if frozen

– Kosher salt

– Black pepper

For the Garlic Butter Bath:

– 1 cup unsalted garlic butter butter (or add 8 minced garlic cloves to your unsalted butter 

– 4 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

– Juice of 2 lemon

– Salt and black pepper to taste

1. Preparation:

   – Preheat your smoker to around 300 F Use a hardwood/pellet like hickory or oak for a balanced smoky flavor.

2. Seasoning the Lobster Tails:

   – Gently lift the shell of each lobster tail and season the meat with kosher salt and black pepper.

3. **Preparing the Garlic Butter Bath:**

   – In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter .

   – Stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat.

4. Smoking the Lobster Tails:

   – Place the seasoned lobster tails directly on the smoker grates, meat side up. This allows the smoke to infuse the meat, and easy to brush with the butter bath. Lobster meat cooks fast so keep an eye on it

   – Close the smoker and let the lobster tails smoke for about 20-25 minutes or until the meat is opaque and cooked through. Brush with butter bath every 5 minutes 

5. Serving:

   – Plate the smoked lobster tails and drizzle them with a bit of the garlic butter bath.

   – Serve with additional lemon wedges on the side for extra zing.

**Note:** Keep an eye on the lobster tails during the smoking process to prevent overcooking. The meat should be opaque and slightly firm. Enjoy the smoky, buttery goodness of this unique smoked lobster tail dish!
