  • 3 Tbsp melted butter unsalted

bbq rub (or use your favorite bbq rub)

  • 1/2 Tbsp of each pepper, garlic powder, paprika
  • 1/4 Tbsp kosher salt and onion powder

Instructions

  • set your smoker or grill at 350 degrees.
  • season your steak with your bbq rub and place in smoker or grill until desired temp is reach. Remember this is being used in the filling so you don’t want it medium rare it could be chewy I cooked until 145 degrees internal temp. Also cook your bacon until crispy. I smoked mine in the smoker the same time I smoked the steak it gave it a nice flavour. Keep an eye on both bacon and steak and rotate meat half way through for even cooking
  • meanwhile in a bowl mix your cream cheese, jalapeños, shredded cheese, green onions, thinly sliced steak and bacon and mix well.
  • spread mix on top of your buns, brush with butter and smoke for about 10-15 minutes until nice and cold colour. Smoker temp was 350 degree.
  • enjoy
