Smoked Pork Skewer
Do you love bacon? You will love this recipe! I am using pork belly for this recipe, cut into nice thick pieces, dusted with seasonings, rolled up, placed on a skewer and brushed with sticky sweet bbq sauce.
Bacon Skewers
Ingredients
- 3-4 Lb pork belly slices about 1/2 inch thick
- 5-6 Tbsp Traeger apple & honey bbq rub or use what your favorite bbq rub
- 1/2 Cup bbq sauce
Instructions
- set your smoker at 325 degrees , if you are using a grill setup a hot/cool zones and set at 325 degrees.
- thinly sliced pork belly into thick bacon strips, dust with your favourite bbq rub and roll up and place on a skewer
- place skewers in smoker or grill and roast ate every 15 minutes for an even cook. About 45 minutes in when it forms nice colour and crispy start basting with bbq sauce 1-2 times until bacon is fully cooked about 1 hour total cook time.
- remove from smoker/grill and enjoy with a side or as an appetizer
