Hot Honey Chicken Wings – Sweet, Spicy, and Smokin’ Good!

Take your wing game to the next level with these Hot Honey Chicken Wings featuring Meatkingz Honey Throne Rub. Perfectly smoked, perfectly crispy, and glazed with a sticky-sweet, spicy honey sauce, these wings are a crowd-pleaser every time.

Whether you’re hosting a backyard BBQ, filming content for your socials, or just craving bold, crave-worthy flavor, this recipe brings smoky, sweet, and spicy goodness together in every bite. INGREDIENTS

  • 4 lbs chicken wings

  • 3–4 tbsp olive oil (or melted butter)

  • Meatkingz Honey Throne Rub – coat generously (about ¼–⅓ cup depending on preference) save 1 tbsp for the hot honey butter.

  • ⅔ cup honey

  • 6-8 tbsp of unsalted butter

  • 4–5 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to spice level you want)

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Prep the wings: Pat wings dry with paper towels. Toss in olive oil and coat generously with Honey Throne rub. Let sit 20–30 minutes to absorb flavor.

  2. Smoke: Place wings in a smoker at 300-350°F with fruit wood (apple or cherry). Smoke for 1 hour until internal temp hits 375°F. Flip meat half way through for evening cooking.

  3. Make the hot honey glaze: In a small pan, gently warm butter, honey, hot sauce, and 1 tbsp of your favour bbq rub I am using my honey bbq rub.

  4. Glaze & finish: Toss wings in the hot honey glaze. Sprinkle a light extra dusting of Honey Throne on top for a bold finish.

  5. Serve: Plate with ranch, blue cheese, or enjoy as-is.
