COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Set your smoker to 350°F.
  • Lightly coat the hot dogs with yellow mustard as a binder. Season generously with Royal Dust for the first layer, then a light coat of King’s Gold for sweetness and color.
  • Place the seasoned hot dogs directly on the smoker grates. Smoke at 350°F for 30 minutes, until the casings tighten and take on a smoky colour.
  • Remove from the smoker. Slice the hot dogs into bite-sized pieces (about 1-inch cubes).
  • Place cubes into an aluminum pan. Add:

½ cup BBQ sauce

4 tbsp cubed butter

8 tbsp  maple syrup

Extra shake of King’s Gold for more flavor

  • Mix well so all pieces are coated.
  • Return the pan to the smoker and cook uncovered at 350°F for 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens, caramelizes, and the hot dog burnt ends become sticky and glazed.
  • Pull off the smoker, let them rest for 5 minutes, and serve as a finger food appetizer or a fun BBQ side dish.
